Thrown, Cut and Altered

After throwing, they are made oval, a vertical cut is made on opposite sides, clay is removed and then joined to create the sharp vertical ridge. The plasticity of the clay is carefully controlled to enable these alterations and to ensure that there is no splitting or cracking of the clay. Widest distance across the rim: 110mm, Height to rim: 112mm. Weight 354g
